Ballari : In a spine-chilling incident, a man killed five members of his own family and then surrendered at the local police station in Kampli town of Bellary district.

Differences within the family which resulted in a fight, culminated in the killings of five family members by the accused Thippaiah

Thippaiah (40), resident of Chapparadahalli Village in Kampli taluk killed his wife Fakiramma (36), sister in-law Gangamma (30) and three children Basamma (10), Raju (8) and Pavithra (6) using machete.
Killer Thippaiah surrendered at the Kampli police station after committing the heinous crime while the youngest daughter Pavithra succumbed at the government hospital.

Thippaiah, originally a resident of Kenchangudda of Siraguppa taluk was a fruit vendor by profession.
