Ballari: MLA E. Tukaram said that before the road works, notices should be issued to the factories and the lorries should be closed.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the asphalting of road leading to Elubenchi Village in Kuduthini Town at a cost of Rs. 1.4 Crore sanctioned under DMF grant. A total of Rs. 4.5 Crore has already been sanctioned for the development of the road from Kuduthini to Elubenchi Village, out of which Rs. 1.4 Crore has been released for the Railway Gate at Kuduthini Rs. 3 Crore from Elubenchi Village, he said.
“There is no use if the lorries ply during the commencement of the work, so the factories coming on this route should be served notices and only then road works should be started. If they do, we will protest and shut it down. We will support the protest and I will also inform the Deputy Commissioner about it,” he said.
