Hospet: Actor/politician Late M H Ambareesh’s fans offered special puja at the Hampi Virupaksha Temple, here on Thursday, April 4, for Mandya Lok Sabha independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh’s victory.

Ambareesh’s fans offered Rudrabhisheka and a special puja to Lord Virupaksheshwara.

Speaking to one of the Kannada dailies, his fan Madigara Veeresh said that Ambareesh had not only contributed as an actor but also as a politician immensely.

He said that they were proud to see his wife Sumalatha Ambareesh battling the opposition single-handedly.

Veeresh said that normally when it comes to politics, women were on the back foot but Sumalatha was facing it very courageously and that their prayers are with her to win with a great margin.
