Ballari: In a raid conducted, a total of 28 quintal of unauthorised and loose maize seeds were seized at Uttanhi village of Hadagalli taluk here.

On a tip-off, the Agriculture Department conducted a raid. The Assistant Director of Agriculture, Hadagalli and his vigilance team seized 28 quintal of unauthorized maize seeds.

The seized seeds are estimated to be of worth Rs 6 lakhs.
