IT System Upgrade to Temporarily Disrupt Electricity Services

Starting March 10 and continuing until March 19, IT services for electricity supply companies (escoms) in urban areas across Karnataka will be temporarily unavailable due to an ongoing system upgrade.

The affected services include payment of electricity bills, new service connections, name changes, tariff adjustments, and more, as announced in a release by MESCOM on Wednesday.

The areas under the jurisdiction of MESCOM that will be impacted include Bantwal, Kadur, Tarikere, Puttur, Udupi, Mangaluru, Shikaripura, Sagara, Shivamogga, Bhadravati, and Chikkamagaluru.

The stabilization of the upgraded applications is expected to take at least 15 days, and during this period, disruptions in the functioning of the applications may occur, according to the release.
