Hubballi: “It was leaders, not people who defeated the party in elections,” said District In-charge Minister Vinay Kulkarni.

The party tastes defeats only due to differences among leaders and not due to people, he said while addressing the Hubballi-Dharwad East Assembly Constituency Congress Committee’s booth-level workers’ meet in Hubballi.

He asked the party leaders not to betray the party but to shed the mentality of working against the official candidates of the party in the elections.

“The Congress Party has created lakhs of leaders and has given everything to them. After growing from the level of a worker to a leader, one should not betray the party itself,” he said.

AICC Secretary Manickam Tagore asked the party’s booth committees to tell the people about the achievements of the Congress, and to work for the victory of the party.

KPCC Working President S R Patil noted that the Congress government had fulfilled 155 assurances out of 165 assurances given during the elections.

MLA Prasad Abbayya, MLC Shrinivas Mane, former MLCs Veeranna Mattikatti, Nagaraj Chebbi, former minister A M Hindasgeri, former MP I G Sanadi among others were present.
