Hubballi: In what appears to be the first of its kind incident in the state related to the Blue Whale Challenge, a Kendriya Vidyalaya student injured herself while playing the game.

A Class VI girl, named Jijabai told her school friends on August 24 that she cut her finger while playing the game. Her friends, in turn, informed the same to teachers.

A teacher confirmed that the cut her finger while playing the game at home after down loading the same from her father’s smart phone.

The school In-charge Principal asked her to uninstall the game immediately after returning home.

Meanwhile, a woman teacher is understood to have counselled the girl and stay clear of the deadly game. “Children play such games due to the irresponsibility of parents” said, school in-charge principal and assured of arranging a meeting of parents soon to give them directions to take better care of their downplaying the incident .
