Hubballi: A couple, who once shared a deep love and had tied the knot, saw their dreams shattered when the husband allegedly strangled his wife to death. The horrifying incident occurred late last night in Basaveshwara Nagar, within the jurisdiction of Kasbapet police station.
The victim, identified as Sudha, met a tragic end at the hands of her husband, Shivayogi. After committing the heinous act, Shivayogi promptly locked the door and fled the scene, leaving behind a scene of horror. The chilling events came to light when a concerned individual, drawn by the sound of a distressed child inside the house, decided to investigate.
Upon opening the door, the heart-wrenching discovery of Sudha’s dead body left everyone speechless, The Kasbapet police were immediately alerted and swiftly arrived at the scene. They promptly informed senior officials, including DCP (Law and Order) M Rajeev, about the appalling incident. Rajeev expressed his determination to ensure the swift arrest of the accused, reassuring the public that justice would be served.
