Kapu: Protest Against Violence on Women in Manipur, For the past three months, there have been ongoing acts of violence and atrocities against women in the state of Manipur. Condemning these heinous acts, a large protest rally was organized by the Kapu Block Congress Committee on Saturday from Rajiv Bhavan and proceeded to Kapu town.

Vinay Kumar Sorake, the former secretary, addressed a gathering and highlighted the oppression faced by the minority community in Manipur under the central BJP government. The Congress is actively protesting against injustices prevalent in all corners of Manipur, making it a nationwide concern. Despite the BJP government’s ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’ (Educate the Daughter, Save the Daughter) are remaining silent on this issue. Moreover, they are exerting pressure on the Chief Minister of Manipur to resign, aiming to impose President’s rule in the state.

During this occasion, several leaders were present, including Navin Chandra Suvarna (President of Kapu Block Congress), M.A. Gafoor, Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty Belapu, Navin Chandra J. Shetty, Rameez Hussein (Youth Congress President), Shekar Hejmadi, Abdul Azeez, Harish Nayak, Sunil Banger, Shivaaji Suvarna, Sharfuddin Sheikh, Ganesh Kottian, and others.
