Karkala: A 25-year-old youth was killed when his bike rammed into an electric pole near Kariyakallu in Miyar on April 14.
The deceased is identified as Franklin D’Cunha from Moodbidri.

He was working as a assistant manager at HDFC bank in Moodabidri.

It is gathered that the mishap occured at around 11.30 am, when the rider lost control over the bike and hit an electric pole. He suffered serious head injuries as he was not wearing the helmet.

Immediately after the mishap he was shifted to Karkala hospital. After first aid, he was shifted to Manipal hospital but he died on the way.

It is learnt that he had just bought the bike on Wednesday, April 13, a day before the mishap.
