Udupi: A 36-year-old woman died on the spot when a lorry hit her while she was crossing the road at Brahmavar Junction near here on Saturday, September 22.

The deceased has been identified as Geetha, a native of Hiriadka who moved to Hangarkatte after her marriage.

The incident occurred when Geetha was on her way to a clinic with her husband, Subramanya and their child. She was following her husband, who was carrying their child, across the road when a lorry hit her, killing her instantly.
