Udupi: In the Puttur taluk of Udupi, two gram panchayaths from two constituencies witnessed by-elections. In the Aryapu gram panchayath, Puttila emerged victorious with a lead of 499 votes, defeating the Congress candidate 353 votes. The BJP candidate secured the third position with 146 votes.
