Padubidri: Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) distributed education material worth Rs. 4.40 lakhs to 566 students from 8 nearby schools on Wednesday. The programme was held as a part of the social responsibility initiative of Adani Foundation.

The programme was held separately in Venkataramana higher primary school in Avaralubettu village, Government high school from Hejamady, Kody, Kolakady villages, KPSK memorial high school Mulky, government high schools from Padebettu and Sooda villages.

Kishor Alva from UPCL presided over the programme. Company general manager Laxminarayana, sub-general manager Girish Navada, assistant general manager Sudharshan Prasad and manager Ravi were present.

All school principals, Gram panchayath presidents and members too were present.
