Udupi: The valedictory function of the “National Youth Athletic Championship” was held on Sunday March 12 at Mahatma Gandhi District Stadium, Ajjarkadu. It was jointly organised by the Athletics Federation of India, Karnataka State Athletic Association and Udupi District Amateur Athletic Association.
The overall title of the championship was won by the State of Haryana. Haryana won the State champion title in the Women’s Category while Uttar Pradesh emerged as the State champion in the Men’s Category.
On this occasion, MLA K. Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao M., District Superintendent of Police Hakey Akshay Machhindra, AFI Organizsng Delegate Satish Uchila, District Amateur Athletic Association Honorary Advisor Ashok Adyanthaya, Brahmavar Mother Palace Director Bharath Kumar Shetty, Karnataka Athletic Association Vice President H. Sudhakar and others were present.
