Udupi: The Annual Sports of the Udupi Working Journalists Association was held at M. G. M. College ground on Tuesday, 10th February, 2015.

The Annual Sports Meet was officially inaugurated by K. Annamalai, Udupi SP, he also flagged off sports meet by playing cricket with the media persons.

During his inaugural speech, K. Annamalai said that he is very proud to inaugurate the sports meet. It is platform to unite among members. Sports activities help us to refresh our physical abilities. Both, Policemen and Journalists work around the clock keeping aside recreational activities, thus this is a great initiative.

Jayakar Suvarna, President of Association, Rohini of Information Department official, Ganesh Pandelu, Secretary, Rajesh Shetty, Treasurer and Nazir Polya, Sports Secretary were on the dais.

Games like tug of war, long jump, slow Bike race, cricket, musical chair, hitting pots, javelin throw, short put running race and other games were there. On the occasion there was special sports event were organised for ladiesjournalist as well.
