Udupi: An old woman died after she was hit by a bus on the NH – 66 while crossing the road at Ambagili of Puttur Village in Dakshina Kannada.

The deceased woman has been identified as Vasanthi Shetty (65), a resident of Chara, Hebri Village. She was hit by Udupi-bound bus at the road median resulting in serious injuries. Though she was immediately rushed to hospital, she died on the way.

Udupi Traffic Police has registered a case.
