Udupi: In a shocking incident, a woman, who had gone to fetch grass for a cow, died after being bitten by honey bee near Kemmannu in Paduthonse Village of the District on Friday November 11.

The deceased has been identified as Sampa (53), a resident of Kemmannu. She was mowing grass in Wajid’s farm in Kudru when the honey bee allegedly bit her.

She was admitted to a private hospital in Udupi, wherein she died.

A case has been registered at Malpe Police Station.
