Udupi: Voter awareness campaign, pledge to follow the rules

Udupi: The ELC and NSS units, the district administration and the district sweep committee of Udupi taluk held an awareness campaign for voters with the support of the Bindooru sweep committee. The event included a pledge-taking ceremony and was held at the government college in Bindooru.

Jagadish Gangananvar, the election officer for the Bindooru assembly constituency, participated as a guest speaker and provided information about the Model Code of Conduct and voting machines. He also urged the public to report any violations of the Model Code of Conduct during the upcoming elections.

The Bindooru Tahsildar, Swami, spoke about the importance of voting in the country’s development and addressed students. Bharathi, the official responsible for the implementation of the Panchayat in the Bindooru taluk, preached about the pledge-taking ceremony for voters.

The Principal of the college, Nagaraj Shetti, presided over the event. The Deputy Tahsildar of Kacheri Bendooru, Bhimappa, and the Tahsildar of Kacheri, along with the college lecturers and students were present. Dr. Shivakumar P.V., the coordinator of the ILC, welcomed everyone. Navin HJ thanked the gathering.
