Udupi: Ananta Padmanabha Tantri’s birth centenary to be celebrated in Udupi from June 17-18: Gopalakrishna Joisha in city
Udupi: ‘Ananta Namam’, a programme to commemorate the birth centenary of Bylur Keerthishesha Ananthapadmanabha Tantri, will be held on June 17-18, said Vidwan Gopalakrishna Joisha.
Addressing a press conference at Raghavendra Matha in Udupi, he said that Vidyasagar Theertha Sripada, the head of alternative Krishnapura Matha, will inaugurate the programme on June 17 at 8 am. Thereafter, there will be a seminar on shastras at Sanskrit College from 9 am to 1 pm.
The Samsmarana Sabha will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm and the future alternative puthige Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada, Subramanya Mutt Seer Sri Vidyaprasanna Theer Sripada will participate. Raghavendra Mutt Manager Jayatheertha Acharya, Bylur Narayana Tantri, Bylur Muralidhara Tantri, Jarkala Prasad Tantri, Nagaraj Tantri were present at the press meet.
