Udupi: As the sea erosion had caused a lot of hardship to the fishermen at Maravanthe Beach area for the last two years, a Samudra Aarti Pooja was performed to the king of the sea along with various rituals.

Sri Raghaveswara Bharathi Mahaswamiji performed the samudra pooja to the king of the sea. The women offered flowers, coins, turmeric, vermillion to the Goddess Ganga and lit the aarti en masse.

Sri Raghaveswara Swamiji was received in a grand procession that was taken out from Maravanthe Coastal School to Sri Rama Mandira.

On the occasion, the Seers who arrived at the Sannidhanam of the deity, made Lord Rama wear crown and body armour.
