Udupi: District Police Department organised a Police Flag Day programme at Chandu Ground here on Sunday April 2.

Coast Guard Superintendent Abdul Ahad said the Police Department has ensured peace and tranquillity in the society by providing security to the people. “It is the duty of all of us to treat the police officers and staff who have retired after a long service with respect,” he said.

Retired Police Inspector Jayant M. accepted the salute. District Superintendent of Police Hakey Akshay Machhindra welcomed the gathering. District Additional Superintendent of Police S. T. Siddalingappa thanked the gathering.
