Udupi: For the development of various roads in Thenkanidiyur Gram Panchayat, MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat has taken the funds have been sanctioned. The sanction came on the recommendation of MLA Bhat and the roads developed under this grant were inaugurated on Wednesday March 22.
Rs. 75 Lakh was sanctioned for the development of Srinagar Cross Roads in Lakshmi Nagar Ward under Thenkanidiyur Gram Panchayat limits, Rs. 35 Lakh for development of Cross Road behind Thenkanidiyur College, Rs. 25 Lakh for development of Ishwaranagara Bykadti Panjurli Road, Rs. 68 Lakh for Shivagiri Layout to Rego Compound and Kenchamma Layout link Road development. He inaugurated the road developed at a cost of total Rs 2.03 Crore.
Thenkanidiyur Gram Panchayat President Gayathri, Vice-President Arun, Thenkanidiyur Mahashakti Kendra President Vijay, Former Udupi Taluk Panchayat Vice President Sharath Bailakere and Thenkanidiyur Gram Panchayat members, party veterans, prominent personalities and activists were present on the occasion.
