Udupi: In a tragic incident that is reported from Golihole Village near Uppunda here a man died after falling down from the coconut tree.

The deceased has been identified as Chandra Marati (38), a resident of Kodial Keri Mel.

Chandra was an agriculturist and had climbed a coconut tree on the evening of February 7 to pluck the coconuts.

Though he was rushed to Byndoor Community Centre, the doctor declared him brought dead. A case has been registered at Byndoor Police Station.
