Udupi: Gold jewellery worth Rs. 7.26 lakh was stolen in Brahmavar.

According to sources, the gold jewellery belonging to Afreen Banu has been allegedly stolen from a car.

Banu kept the bag containing the gold jewellery in the car after the wedding ceremony at a relative’s house near Honnala was over.

The theft came to light when she went home after drinking tea at her mother’s house.

A case has been registered in this regard.
