Udupi: On Sunday August 15, Udupi district registered 177 new cases and no death. According to the district health bulletin, as many as 8,52,748 samples have been tested so far.

The total number of cases in the district reaches 71,818, out of which 1,356 are currently active.

A total of 117 patients were discharged from hospitals here on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 70,029. Out of 177 new patients, 148 are in home isolation while 29 are in Covid-designated hospitals.

The virus has claimed 433 lives in the district so far.
