Udupi: Deputy Commissioner Dr R Vishal on Saturday said that Udupi district will follow the bus fare revision introduced by Mangaluru RTA, following the High Court order to strictly follow the government notification.

The DC said a meeting of stake holders will be held to analyse different parameters before revising the bus rate. He said that the bus fare revision would be taken up assessing the variations in the diesel rates.  

“Though diesel price keeps fluctuating, the current rate is equivalent to 2012. However, the current inflation and differences up to 10 to15 % will be considered during the fare revision. 

The next RTA meeting is scheduled on April 18.
