Udupi: Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa was one of those who built the BJP party as an ideal worker. Now he has the responsibility of being a Member of the Parliamentary boards that sits with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP has given everything and has not ignored him. The party’s debt cannot be repaid even if he works all his life,” said B. Y. Raghavendra.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said on Janardhana Reddy’s allegations that BJP had il-treated BSY that Reddy must have uttered the words in a frustrated mood. Janardhana Reddy has just formed a party and the party’s developments will be known in the coming days. The BJP as a party will decide who should contest from where. The organisation decides who should be given the responsibility, he noted.
“Yediyurappa wants to retire from electoral politics and has an emotional connect with Shikaripura Constituency. This time, there was a unanimous demand from the party workers to field Vijayendra, he said, adding that he was not standing for the polls and Yediyurappa had also requested the party to give Vijayendra a chance.
