Udupi: The central government released a list of cleanest and filthy districts of the country on Thursday, September 8. Udupi district has bagged a place in the top ten cleanest districts of the country.

The Centre had conducted a survey for which it had chosen as many as 75 from 600 districts of the country. While Udupi pocketed the ninth spot in the cleanest cities, Gadag district, standing on the 75th rank, earned the dubious distinction of being the most unhygienic districts.
