Udupi: A private ambulance caught fire at the Kalsanka junction on the evening of Monday May 16.

According to sources, the vehicle was travelling from Udupi to Manipal when the fire was detected. Fortunately, no patients were inside the ambulance at the time of the accident.

Fire service was called as the fire spread, and it they put out the fire.

The incident caused a traffic jam on the main road for a short time.
