Udupi: A bike rider who sustained serious injuries after an ambulance collided head-on with his bike at Kaup here passed away in the hospital.

The deceased has been identified Ritesh. He was travelling to Udupi from Uchila on Sunday March 12 when the ambulance moving towards Mangaluru from Udupi collided with his bike. Due to the impact he was thrown off the scooter and injured on the head.

Further, he was rushed from local Primary Health Centre to Manipal Hospital, where he succumbed.
