Udupi: Simon Peter D’Souza (55), who was addicted to heavy drinking, fell ill after consuming some poisonous substance in the afternoon of Thursday December 15 at Fernandes Compound on Shirva-Kuttyaru Main Road.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Udupi for treatment. He died on the evening of Sunday December 18.
A case has been registered at Shirwa Police Station on the complaint of hissister Evelina D’Souza.
