Udupi: Two persons lost their life in after they suffocated to death at Kotathattu village coming under Kota police station limits on Thursday September 25.
The deceased have been identified as Abbas Abdul Rehman (42) and Abdul Salam (19).

Abbas owned a tanker, while Abdul was a worker. The tanker was used to supply fish oil to a private company in Kotathattu.
The duo after supplying fish oil was washing the tanker in the company premises.
Abdul, while washing the tanker from outside, accidentally slipped and fell into the tanker. Seeing this, Abbas went to rescue him. In the process, both fainted due to the smell of the chemicals in the tanker and probably suffered suffocation which may have caused death.
Both of them were brought to the hospital in Brahmavar and declared dead.
A case of unnatural death had been registered at Kota police station and investigations are on.
