Trinity Central School marked ‘National Science Day’ on February 28 with a series of engaging events, showcasing the spirit of scientific inquiry and innovation. The celebration commenced with a prayer song, setting the tone for an eventful day.
In a unique inauguration, the principal, vice principal, and coordinator of the school combined glycerine with potassium permanganate, resulting in a captivating display of white smoke and a purple flame that illuminated the entire campus. This visually striking demonstration kicked off a series of captivating events throughout the day.
Adithi from grade 7 and Krithi from grade 8 presented an intriguing lineup of science facts, exploring the ‘whats, whys, and what ifs’ of various scientific phenomena. Following this, students from grade 9, under the supervision of Chemistry faculty Ranjith, showcased extraordinary chemical reactions using a variety of chemicals.
Principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo conveyed his joy, pride, and deep gratitude to the students and science teachers for their dedicated efforts in creating a memorable and wonderful Science Day celebration. He emphasized that science is far from boring; rather, it is a vibrant source of creativity and innovation.
The program concluded with students from grade 9 posing general knowledge questions related to science to students of all grades. The day wrapped up with a vote of thanks and the singing of the school and state anthems, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.
