In a tragic incident in Udupi, a bus owner lost his life after being struck by his own bus. The victim, identified as Dayanand Shetty, was inspecting his bus, which was parked for repairs at a garage in Athrady.
According to reports, Dayanand had arrived at the garage to oversee repair works on his bus. However, as he stood in front of the vehicle, unaware to him, the mechanic inadvertently started the engine, causing the bus to move forward.
In a horrifying turn of events, the bus struck Dayanand, resulting in fatal injuries after he was run over by the wheels.
A case has been registered at the Manipal police station.
