Three-Day Job fair at SMVITM at Bantakal

Bantakal: The three-day mega rural job fair, Pravruthi 15 – held from 5 to 7 February has been organized by Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) at its campus in Bantakal.

There has been an overwhelming response from job seekers around the Udupi, DK and neighbouring districts.

The fair had more than two thousand registrations within a few hours from the inauguration. The fair is open to the current final year students and passed out batch students of the degree and engineering colleges.

 

Around 34 reputed companies, including several MNCs have been offering over one thousand jobs in fields like development, ITES, BPO, tech support, finance, accounting, marketing etc.

 

In a brief inaugural function held at the campus on 5 February morning, HH Vishwavallbha Theertha Swamiji, President of Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education trust, Udupi (SSVMET) inaugurated the event in the presence of  Manju M, Vinay V, Bharath Shankar, Vishal, Anup and Santhosh, the Directors and HR officials of recruiting companies participating in the fair.

 

Ratnakumar and Raghavendra Tantry from SSVMET, Prof. Radhakrishna S. Aithal and Prof. A. Ganesha, Principal and Dean (Academics) of SMVITM were also present.

 

Expressing his happiness and satisfaction over the enthusiastic response to the event, Dr. Aithal said that it was an encouraging signal to the socially relevant initiative taken up by SMVITM with the objective of bringing together the jobseekers and job providers, which would result in gainful employment of the youth in the region.

 

He urged the graduates of the region to make use of the opportunity and participate in the fair, which would continue for the next two days.
