Udupi: The Government First Grade College at Uppinangady has revoked the suspension of six students after they submitted an undertaking follow the dress code.

The students were suspended earlier this month for reportedly wearing the Hijab in class despite repeated warnings from college officials that their actions were in violation of State Government and High Court orders.

The School Administration had suspended 24 female students on Tuesday June 7, for staging a protest demanding the right to wear the Hijab in class. According to sources, these students did not attend their class.
