Udupi: Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha said, “despite the low positivity rate, the district administration has decided not to re-open the schools and PU Colleges from Monday August 23.”

“The reopening of schools and PU colleges will be delayed because the Covid-19 positivity rate of the district is 2.5%. If the rate falls below 2%, then schools may be opened on a later date,” he added.

As on Saturday, 177 people were tested positive in the district.
