Karkala : Rayappa took charge as the new Chief Officer of Karkala TMC  on Monday June 23. Outgoing chief officer Mabel D’Souza handed over charge to him. Here it is worth mentioning that  Moodbidri TMC had won the national award  during Rayappa’s tenure as Chief Officer there.

Now, his appointment in Karkala at a time when the town is expected to get Central as well a State grants in view of the 2015 Bahubali Mahamastakabhishekha is seen as a major development.

TMC Chairperson Rehmath, Vice President Shashikala Raane, Opposition leader Prakash Rao, Councillors Shubada Rao, Subith NR, Ashfaq Ahmed, Mohammad Sharief, Akshay, Giridhar Nayak, Health Inspector Sunder Poojary and others were present.
