Prakruthi Institution celebrates third anniversary

Karkala: “The parents and teachers – both have an equal role in shaping the future of a school-going child, their efforts to mould and nurture the child will help the society at large”, said local MLA Sunil Kumar.

He was addressing the gathering at the third anniversary celebrations of Prakruti Educational Institution at Kanthavara on Thursday January 8.

In his presidential address, Mr. Kumar said that the education must be a fundamental right of every citizen in India. However, the government and non-government organizations are playing a vital role to in encouraging enrolment and upgrading the quality in education through various forms.

“With this, India has managed to retain the literacy rate, iIn addition to it, along with educational curriculum, the government is also concentrating to form guidelines in order to encourage even sports and other extra-curricular activities”, he added.

Chief Guest Balakrishna Shetty said that the educational institutions should work towards spreading knowledge and not for the purpose of minting money. Educating is not profit making. It’s an exchange of knowledge and information. Meanwhile, he congratulated Prakruthi Institution’s chairman Christine Jerald Crasta towards his initiatives and his dedication to the social responsibilities.

Kanthavara gram panchayat former president Mohandas Adyathaya said that the Prakruthi institution has developed in the field of education. Film artist Ramya Barna was a star-highlight during the event.
