Udupi: B. Janardhan Poojary – the former Union Minister and senior Congress leader – criticised union government and said that, even after a year of prime ministership Narendra Modi failed to give a fruitful administration and keep up the promises made to the people.
He was addressing the presspersons here on Saturday May 16. Poojary said that Modi government is not a poor people’s government as he has been brought to power by the corporate sectors in the nation. “Modi has commitment only to corporates”, Poojary stressed.
Ridiculing the PM’s foreign tours, Poojari said that when the farmers of the country were suffering from unseasonal rains, PM is busy with his never ending tour, it is a move to loot our nation’s assets for his own selfish motives.
He added that Modi is destroying the hopes of common man, being in a responsible position he cannot act so ignorant. His foreign tours and tie ups are not helping our nation in real, the increasing border conflicts is the best example for the same, Poojary alleged.
PM is completely forgotten the election manifesto which he released while election. None of the promises have been kept. As promised earlier, no efforts is made to bring back black money, new bill on black money redirection are baseless. He questioned his silence on women’s reservation bill and the mess on the Acquisition Bill.
As a party the strength of BJP is completely depend on a few handful leaders, the party has no history and experience like Congress. Poojari said that BJP is trying work on Congress free India, however it will remain as just a dream. They cannot kill the plight congress leaders have gone through, right from the era of struggle for freedom.
