City police were informed earlier about illegal transportation and thus while checking they seized the vehicle along with cattle near Varnabettu in Kukkundoor. The driver managed to escape from the spot.

Only a day before this incident, a complaint was filed at city police station where in two cows were stolen from Bailoor area in a Scorpio which was caught in a CC Camera.

The cases of cattle theft which are  increasing by the day,  has disrupted peace in the area and these incidents have given some police officers sleepless nights.
