Udupi : An APL cardholder who availed wheat from the a fair price shop at Parkala near here complained of presence of ants, termite, grain Beetles and some small pieces of sticks in the same. Further the consumer, Krishna Sherigar Saralebettu said that the wheat received from ration shop contained dust and all of this had left the wheat unfit for consumption.

Earlier too a complaint had been lodged with Tahasildar about the quality of the wheat which consumers are unable to use due to the dust, insects and ants among other things being present in it. Despite this the situation continues to remain the same and the sub standard distribution of ration materials continues, said local leaders Parkala Mohandas Nayak, Thimmppa Shetty Shettybettu and Ganesh Saralebettu.
