Udupi: Refuting all speculations of a change in the Chief Minister, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the B S Yediyurappa government is performing in an outstanding manner and that it will complete its five-year tenure without any issues.

Speaking to reporters in Udupi on Thursday, November 12, Kateel said that nobody should act against the party’s ideology.

BJP MLA Basangoud Patil Yatnal has been making several remarks against the CM. Speaking about this, the BJP chief said that it is an internal matter of the party and it will decide what action should be taken against him.

Commenting on the DJ Halli-KG Halli riots, he said that a case has been registered against former mayor Sampat Raj.

“The investigation has revealed that Sampath Raj was involved in the case. After the police investigation, Sampat Raj has been absconding. The Congress should give answers now,” he said adding that KPCC chief D K Shivakumar must ask the former Bengaluru Mayor to surrender.

He further alleged that both D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah have roles in Sampat Raj going absconding.

“The state government should arrest Sampat Raj immediately. The Congress should hand him over to the police,” he said.
