Udupi: A man died on the spot in a bike accident after it rammed into a parked tipper at Nandikur here on Monday Another was injured.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Kunder alias Govinda (45), a resident of Padu Panambur, Haleangady who was riding with Ramachandra (42), who was seriously injured.

It is said that Ravi and Ramachandra were riding towards Mudrangady near Kukkikatte when their bike smashed into a tipper parked near Ram Mandir at Nandikur on the state highway.

Both were rushed to hospital, however Ravi succumbed to his injuries could not be saved. Ramachandra has been admitted to Adarsh hospital.

A case has been registered.
