Karkala: Miyaru village has bid goodbye to the Swach Bharat Abhiyan which has been successfully carried out by popular celebrities along with Central Government at the national level.

One can find garbage dumped in most of the places in this village. It seems that, even the concerned officials are least interested to clean the village.

Even, near the Panchayat in Karalgudde, garbage has been dumped. Even though locals complained about it no action has been taken. Though government has ordered to keep school environment clean, local bodies here are not serious about it.

Though there are rules to have a waste recycling centre in Panchayat limits,  the local representatives are not taking initiatives in this regard, despite a particular place being reserved for it.

Locals are hoping to get solution for this issue soon.
