Udupi: A National Vendor Development Programme cum Industrial Exhibition will be organised by the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Branch MSME Development Institute, Mangaluru in association with State Department of Industries and Commerce, District Industries Centre, Udupi; District Small Industries Associations, Manipal and Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on January 11and 12 at Town Hall, Ajjarkad, Udupi.
Addressing the media persons at Udupi, K. Socrates, Deputy Director of MSME Development Institute, Mangaluru said that the programme and exhibition was being organised with an aim to develop linkage between large and small enterprises.
The objectives of the programme include providing an opportunity to micro, small and medium enterprises to showcase their capabilities to the various wings of the government; establishments of railways, defence, public sector understandings and other large scale private enterprises which outsource from micro and small enterprises. It also aims to enable the large scale enterprises to identify suitable vendors among the MSE sector for forging Vender-Vendee relationships and to expose the educated youth to the might of different sector of Indian enterprises thus inciting them to take up entrepreneurship as their career.
The inaugural function will be held on January 11 and Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister in charge of Udupi district will inaugurate the programme. MP Shobha Karandlaje; S N Ranagaprasad Director, MSMEDI, Bangaluru; T Venkatesh, DC, Udupi and Priyanka Mary Francis, ZP CEO will be the chief guests.
