Moodubelle: A bike rider was killed in a tragic accident, after his bike collided with a tipper near Ganapanakatte junction at Udupi on Tuesday, August 2.

The deceased has been identified as Johnson D’Souza (28), son of Gerald and Margaret D’Souza of Edmeru.

According to sources, the accident occurred when a tipper plying from Moodubelle to Nalkubeedi hit the bike which was coming from opposite direction. Johnson who suffered severe injuries was admitted to Manipal hospital. He succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

Shirva police have registered a case are investigating.

Johnson’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11 am at St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle. He is survived by his parents and three siblings.
