Manipal: The Udupi police have arrested a youth carrying 1,388 grams of ganja, on Monday, March 27. The youth identified as Hari Pai from Karwar, Uttara Kannada was ready to the cache of Ganja for sales. It is learnt that Hari Pai is a sixth semester student of Manipal Mechanical department.

The arrest was made based on a tip off by Kumaraswamy DySp of Udupi and the accused was nabbed from Mandovi Pearl City Apartments, Vidyarathna Nagar.

The police also seized mobile phone and other items worth Rs. 39,000 from Hari Pai. The Manipal police registered the case.
