Mangaluru: A man who had been allegedly cheating women and was trying to get married for the third time was arrested by the police on Wednesday November 5.

The arrested has been identified as 30-year-old Ravi Shankarappa Naik a resident of Mundagoda in Uttara Kannada district.

It is alleged that Ravi was trying to cheat a woman, 30-year-old Shashikala a resident of Shirva for the third time. He had accompanied her to Shirva Padavu Babbu Swamy temple to marry her.

However Shashikala saw Ravi fighting with his second wife and came to know about his whereabouts. She then registered a complaint at Shirva station.

On the directions of police inspector Ashok, Kaup circle inspector Sunil Y Naik and other officials the accused was nabbed and arrested from Attinje.

Ravi Naik, working as a mason in Shirva, was already married twice. He has three children from his first wife and two children from his second wife. He reportedly had deserted his first wife and was staying with his second wife while planning to con the third, reportedly.
