Padubidri: A married man hanged himself after killing his lover here in Padubidri. Naveen Devadiga (40), killed his lover Tara Devadiga (38) and hanged himself.

It is learnt that Naveen Devadiga, a tempo driver by profession, a married man was living separately along with his two sons from his first marriage. He was in love with Tara who is a widow and had a relationship with her. He had even met her parents with the intention to marry her. But her parents objected and he was asked to stay away from her.

SP rajendra prasad speaking to reporters here, said that in the death note found by the police it is stated that Naveen had asked permission from Tara’s parents to marry her. But reportedly parents denied the same, and thus they both decided to commit suicide.

Padubidri police have visited the spot and are investigating the matter. Finger prints squad and dog squad have also arrived to the spot.

The children have been interrogated and more details are awaited.
